About Mrs. Mindy Dushane
Director, House Manager,
Music & Vocal Instructor
Mindy Dushane has been a part of Music and Theatre for over 30 years. She studied Interdisciplinary Music Studies at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Over the years Mindy has performed in show choir concerts and plays all across Florida. She has been teaching, producing, and directing in local Musical Theatre productions for over fourteen years. During this time, she assisted with voice, staging, and set design at the Saint Augustine Community Theatre. As well as having the privilege of being the Stage Director for the Alive Ministries camp for high school. Mindy has also worked in multiple settings with adult’s and children’s choirs, and ensembles, both as a performer and director, in the Jacksonville area. Mindy particularly enjoys working with the K-12 age group. Encouraging excellence, in an atmosphere that inspires confidence and growth.

Mindy specializes in voice, drama, and stage performance. Emphasizing on the importance of a “triple threat” in the professional worlds of Dance/ Theatre/ and Voice. She takes a medical approach to her vocal teaching while focusing on the importance of proper vocal health. Mindy is a performance-based educator with the desire to help each student achieve success as a performer.

Since 2011 Mindy has written, produced and directed many successful Musical Theatre Summer programs. These one act themed cabarets include; “Mary Poppins”, “Aristocats”, Jungle Book”, “Frozen”, “The Lion King”, and “Annie”. Her most recent summer production was an original she wrote, titled “After Ever After”.

She has also directed and produced several Full productions, over the years. These include “Alice in Wonderland”, “Wickedly Wizard of Oz”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, “Xanadu”, “A Chorus Line”, “Into the woods”, “The Real Story of Little Red Riding Hood”, “Shrek”, “Willy Wonka”, and “Peter Pan”.

Mindy has been the proud director of a children’s Thespian troupe, that she founded in 2015. Through this program, she has achieved numerous high achievement awards including Access Broadways “Best Musical Theatre School” in 2019 and Access Broadways “Best Director” in 2020.
